I’m not seeing my camera as a chime option for my Wyze Video Doorbell v2.

Problem

You are not seeing your Wyze Cam under the accessories section of Wyze Video Doorbell v2.

Troubleshooting

  1. Verify what type of Wyze Cam you are trying to use as a chime.
    • Currently, only Wyze Cam OG is compatible with Wyze Video Doorbell v2.
  2. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo. 
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
  3. If possible, check that your Wyze Video Doorbell v2 and Wyze Cam OG’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the doorbell or camera, please move forward with updating them.
  4. Check that your Wyze Cam OG is set up in the Wyze app and the audio is working normally.
    • You can try enabling the siren or using 2-way audio to test this.
  5. Ensure the camera is set as the doorbell’s chime.
    1. Navigate to the doorbell’s settings > Chime Menu > Cam as Chime.
    2. Select the camera you would like to use.
  6. Restart Wyze Cam OG.
    1. Navigate to the camera’s settings > Restart Device > tap Restart.
  7. Restart Wyze Video Doorbell v2.
    1. Navigate to the doorbell’s settings > Restart Camera > tap Restart.
