Network Encryption type not supported

Problem

You're seeing a "Network Encryption type not supported" error when trying to connect to a network. Specifically, to a WEP, WPS, or a portal login / enterprise network.

You'll often see this error when trying to connect your camera to a network with a login screen that you have to sign into before gaining WiFi access, like at hotels, universities, and workplaces.

Troubleshooting Tip:

If you're on your own network, change your router's setting to a WPA/WPA2 encryption.

Instructions on doing so can vary depending on the manufacturer of the router and model. If you need help, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the manufacturer of the router.
