Alexa Voice Commands

Control your Wyze devices with your voice by pairing them with Amazon Alexa and using the voice commands below. 

Wyze Cam

You can view live activity from Wyze Cam v2 and Wyze Cam Pan on the Amazon Echo Show or Echo Spot. Say "Alexa" or "Echo," then:

  • “Show me <camera name>”
  • “Show my <camera name>”
  • “Show the <camera name>”
  • “Show <camera name>”

Wyze Bulb

Wyze Bulb to too bright? Warm? Just want to turn it off? Say "Alexa" or "Echo," then:

  • "Turn <bulb name> off"
  • "Turn <bulb name>  on"
  • "Set the <bulb name> to 50%" (scale of 1-100%)
  • "Set <bulb name> softer"
  • "Make the <bulb name> warmer"
  • "Set the <bulb name> cooler"
  • "Make the <bulb name> warm white*"
  • "Set the <bulb name> to daylight"

*Words you can use to change a bulb to a specific color temperature in Kelvin.

Shade of White Color Temperature in Kelvin Value
warm, warm white 2200
incandescent, soft white 2700
white 4000
daylight, daylight white 5500
cool, cool white 7000

 

Wyze Plug

You can use a voice command to turn on or off a specific Wyze Plug. Say "Alexa" or "Echo," then:

  • "Turn <plug name> on"
  • "Turn <plug name> off"

Wyze Sense

You can use a voice command to turn on or off a specific Wyze Sense sensor. Say "Alexa" or "Echo," then:

  • "Turn <sensor name> on"
  • "Turn <sensor name> off"

Wyze Lock

You can use a voice command to control your Wyze Lock. Say "Alexa" or "Echo," then:

To check the status of a Wyze Lock:

  • "Check the status of <door name>”
  • “Status of <door name>"
    • Alexa will respond: “The <door name> is locked or unlocked”

To lock or unlock your Wyze Lock:

  • “Unlock <door name>”
    • Alexa will respond: “The <door name> is unlocked”
  • “Lock <door name>”
    • Alexa will respond: “The <door name> is locked”
By default, the unlock function is disabled. To enable unlock, go to the Amazon Alexa App > Device Settings > [Your Wyze Lock] > Settings. Once enabled, Amazon will ask you to confirm the change by having you to log into your Amazon account. Alexa will then require you to set up a 4-digit code.
Also by default, the lock function is enabled. This cannot be disabled.
