Cam Plus Pro is easy to set up, but it does require that you think up some fine details like a PIN and a safe word.

1. Set up Cam Plus Pro

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Monitoring. The screen should say Cam Plus Pro.
  2. On the Cam Plus Pro Setup screen, tap Start Setup.
  3. Tap Start Setup again, above the camera you added a license to.
    1. See Home Monitoring Setup instead?
      1. Make sure you're on the correct app version (2.27+), and have an active Cam Plus Pro license assigned to a camera.
  4. Tap Next
  5. Enter your phone number. Tap Done
  6. Tap Next.
    1. A confirmation code will be texted to the number you entered.
    2. Enter this code in the box.
    3. You’ll be brought to the What is a PIN screen if the code is correct.
    4. If the code is not correct, request a new code and try again.
  7. Tap Next.

2. Set up your PIN

You'll set up your PIN in the following steps. This is the 4-digit number you use to disarm your system or cancel an Emergency Response when you don't need help.

    1. Tap Next.
    2. Enter your preferred PIN.
      • Save this PIN! It is required to disarm your camera or cancel an Emergency Response.
    3. Tap Next.

3. Set up your safe word

You'll set up your Safe Word in the steps below. This is the secret word you'd use to verify your safety with Noonlight in the event of an alarm.

  1. Enter your preferred safe word. Tap Done.
    • Make sure it’s easy to remember and say in the event of an emergency.
    • The character limit is 10.
  2. Tap Next.

4. Place your cameras where they matter

You'll point your Wyze Cams in the right direction in the following steps. Because Cam Plus Pro relies on Person Detection, you want the detection area to be pointed away from windows and busy streets, so that only intruders indoors will be detected.

  1. Tap Next.
  2. Put your camera(s) where they can monitor your home's entrance, from the inside.
    • Recommended locations: The front door entryway, garage interior, back or side entrances.
  3. Tap Next
  4. Point your cameras in the right direction.
    • Angle your cam so that it's pointed away from windows, or where an outside pedestrian might trigger an alarm.
  5. Tap Next.
  6. Review the Wyze Cam(s) you have Cam Plus Pro on.
    • Want to change this is it? Go to Services > Cam Plus Pro to reassign your camera(s).
  7. Tap Next.

5. Video Forwarding

When a potential intruder is detected and an Event video is created, we will forward that video (only that one!) to Noonlight for review. This allows the monitoring center to review the footage quickly and decide if it's a real emergency or a false alarm.

Tap Got it!

6. Critical Alerts

If your phone is muted, notifications are turned off, or it is in Do Not Disturb Mode, you may not be able to receive the alert, SMS, or phone call from Noonlight if an alarm is triggered. Allow Critical Alerts so that you'll receive a push notification during an alarm no matter what.

Tap Allow Critical Alerts.

Setup is all done! You'll be brought back to the Services section in the Wyze app.

Tap the < back arrow, then the Monitoring tab to start using Cam Plus Pro.

7. Arm or Disarm your Wyze Cam

On the Monitoring tab, you can arm and disarm your Wyze Cam, view the live stream, view any Event videos recorded, and edit your Cam Plus Pro settings.

Tap Disarm

  1. Tap the back < arrow until you have the Monitoring tab.
  2. Tap Monitoring.
  3. Tap Alarm Triggers.
  4. Tap Next, swiping to review the details about Home, Away, and Disarmed Modes.
  5. Tap the checkbox next to the sensors you want to use for Home mode.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Tap the checkbox next to the sensors you want to use for Away mode.
  8. Tap Next.

7. Set up your Entry/Exit Delay

You'll set up your Entry and Exit Delay for Home and Away modes in these steps. This delay is how much time you'll have to disarm your system before an alarm is sent to Noonlight.

  • Home mode: You're currently at home. The system is monitoring the exterior of your home.
  • Away mode: You're away from home. The system is monitoring the interior and exterior of your home.

  2. Tap Entry Delay. By default, this is 30 seconds.

Note: If you select 0 seconds, you will have no time to disarm the system before an alarm is sent to Noonlight.

    • If you don’t want notifications, tap X.
    • Note: If you do not allow notifications, we will not be able to keep you informed about your security system on your phone.
  2. Tap Allow Critical Alerts (on iOS only) if you’d like to receive push notification to your phone even if your phone is muted, or in Do Not Disturb Mode.
    • If prompted by your iPhone, tap Allow.

11. Finishing up

  1. Review the Legal Terms related to Noonlight and Wyze. You must tap Accept to use Wyze Home Monitoring and allow Noonlight to contact you and Emergency Dispatching in the event of an alarm.
  2. Tap Accept.
  3. Do you want to test your system? This lets you test that everything’s working properly without triggering an Emergency Response (resulting in a call from Noonlight).
    1. If no, tap Skip.
    2. If yes, tap Enter Test Mode.
      1. Use Test Mode to test your system, including your sensors, cameras, and the keypad. If you trigger an alarm, no law enforcement dispatching will come.
      2. When done, tap Exit Test Mode.
Note: you can keep your monitoring system in Test Mode for as long as you’d like. But your system is Disarmed. It will not alert your or send an alarm even if there’s an emergency.

12. You're all done - setup is complete!

Give yourself a pat on the back! It's been a long journey, but your Wyze Home Monitoring system is set and already protecting your home.

The final To Do is to place your sensors, keypad, and decals around your home.
