If your camera was installed using the incorrect long screws, or you otherwise choose to participate in the recall, remove the camera after the battery has been fully depleted and dispose of it at a certified facility that accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries.
Note: Do not discard the camera in the trash, curbside recycling, general recycling streams (e.g. street level or curbside recycling bins), or in used battery drop-off boxes commonly found at retail or home improvement stores. These locations may not be equipped to handle recalled lithium-ion battery-powered products.
Recalled products containing lithium-ion batteries require special handling because they may pose a higher risk of fire. Your local Household Hazardous Waste collection center may accept this camera for safe disposal. Before visiting, contact the facility to confirm whether it accepts lithium-ion battery-powered devices from recall programs.
