Using Automations in the Wyze app

Topics covered in this article:

What are Automations?

Automations let you automate your Wyze devices. With Automations, you can do things like turn off multiple devices with a single tap in the app, set a specific time of day to record an event video, or even have your lights turn on when a door is opened.

⭐️ With a subscription to Cam Plus or Cam Protect, you can use Automations to send a Motion Warning on Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 and Pro, and Wyze Cam OG.

There are 4 types of Automations:

  • Shortcuts run actions with a tap in the Wyze app.
  • Schedules control devices based on the time of day.
  • Device & Service Triggers connect multiple Wyze devices so one can trigger another.
  • Location Triggers run actions based on the user's physical location.

To create an Automation:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Automation.
  3. Select the type of automation you'd like to create.

  4. Follow the on screen steps to create the automation.

To edit an Automation:

  2. Tap on the automation in the list.
  3. Tap on the Shortcut, Schedule, Device Trigger, or Location Trigger you would like to edit.
