Emergency Heat helps when it's really cold outside.
What is Emergency Heat?
Normally, your home's heat pump normally pulls air in from outside, then cools or heats it according to your Wyze Thermostat's setting. The Emergency Heat pump is what is used when the air outside is too cold for your home's heat pump work properly, usually around 30º Fahrenheit.
When it's too cold outside, your thermostat's handler will bypass your normal heat pump. The emergency heat pump will then heat your home using alternate means, like natural gas or electric.
To turn on Emergency Heat:
- In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Thermostat.
