Wyze Watch Connectivity Troubleshooting

Problem

Your Wyze Watch shows offline in the Wyze app, loads slowly, disconnects frequently, or you see a "Device Not Found" message in the app.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.

    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.

    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.

    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.

    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.

  2. Make sure the watch is charged and turned on.

    1. If your Wyze Watch isn't charged, fully charge it, then make sure it is on and the screen lights up.

  3. Check the Bluetooth® connection.

    1. In your phone’s settings, toggle Bluetooth® off and then back on.

    2. Ensure your watch is within Bluetooth® range of your phone.

      • This distance varies by device but is generally about 30 feet.

    3. If the watch was previously connected, forget the device in the Bluetooth® settings and then pair it again.

      • Note: If your watch was previously connected to other phones/tablets, you’ll need to unpair it from those devices as well.

    4. If there are other devices connected to your phone via Bluetooth® or other apps currently using Bluetooth® that may be causing interference, unpair the devices or close the apps.

  4. Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in your phone/tablet settings.

    1. Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.

    2. For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.

  5. If possible, check that your Wyze Watch’s firmware is up to date.

    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.

    2. If there is an update available for the watch, please move forward with updating it.

  6. Force close the Wyze app.

  7. Restart your phone.

  8. Restart the watch.

    1. Press and hold the Home button on the watch.

    2. Tap Restart on the watch screen.

  9. Factory reset Wyze Watch.

    1. Press and hold the Home button on the side of the watch to wake it up.

    2. Swipe up on the watch screen and tap the settings gear.

    3. Tap Reset, then tap Reset again to confirm.

    4. Walk through setting up your watch like new in the Wyze app.
