Become a Beta Tester

Thank you for your interest in our beta program. We greatly appreciate you joining our efforts to improve our product. As one of our beta testers, you will see new products, features, and bug fixes before they become public. Please keep in mind that your experience will be different from that of the final and public versions of the product, app, and firmware. That’s where you come in! The information that comes from our beta testers is integral to our product development process.

Software Testing

For iOS users:

  1. Install TestFlight on the iOS device that you’ll use for testing.
  2. Open this link from your iOS device.
  3. Tap View in TestFlight or Start Testing; or tap Accept, Install, or Update for the app you want to test.

For Android users:
Please log in to your Google account, go to this page and click on the “Become a Tester” button. Then when you search for Wyze in the Google Play Store (under the same Google account), you will see our latest beta app.

If you ever decide to leave the beta program, you can go to the same page and click on the “Leave the program” link. Then you will only see the official Wyze app in the Google Play Store.

Beta issues reporting:
For product feedback or issues, you can join our Facebook group “Wyze Labs Beta Testers” or check out the Wyze Beta forum.

Hardware Testing

We have an open application for hardware testing but this program works in cycles. Hardware testing is done at the alpha level meaning that the products and app will be more buggy than a beta or publicly available version will be.
You’ll only have to fill out this form once for consideration for future alpha and beta testing. We’ll be archiving your submission so if any of your information changes, please reach out to customer support so that we can adjust it on our end.
There isn’t a guarantee that you’ll be selected after you fill out the form though we’ll try to work with everyone we can. However, if you miss one round, there’s always a chance that you’ll be selected for a future product and we’ll have your information on hand when we start looking for people. When we need to communicate with you outside of the testing group (such as for gauging your interest in a product for testing or for checking your availability for a testing cycle), we’ll be using your Wyze account email so keep an eye on it after filling out the form!
We do plan to move away from Facebook groups for future testing, but we’re not at that point yet. Currently, hardware testing communication is limited to secret Facebook groups. If you want to be a future tester for us but would rather not use Facebook, please include that information in the Facebook line instead of your Facebook email. We won’t be able to work with you right now, but we want you in the running for the future.
