By default, the Wyze Scale sends a weak (and safe) electric current through the body to measure Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). There are no known risks to calculating BIA while pregnant, but body composition results will not be accurate.
Set the scale to only measure your weight.
Unlike other smart scales, the Wyze Scale has a unique feature that lets you disable the BIA measurement entirely to only measure weight.
To enable the Only Measure Weight feature:
- Open the Wyze App and tap Wyze Scale.
- Tap on the gear to open Scale Settings.
- Tap Users, then select your email address to open the Account Info screen.
- Tap the slider next to Only Measure Weight, then Yes to confirm.
