Can the motorized brush head be turned off?

No, the motor cannot be turned off separately.

When the Motorized Brush Head is attached to the cordless vacuum and the vacuum is powered on, the brush head will rotate automatically. This spinning feature cannot be turned off, and will stop when the vacuum is powered off.
