By default, Wyze Scale devices send a weak (and safe) electric current through the body to measure Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). There are no known risks to calculating BIA while pregnant, but body composition results will not be accurate.
You can disable the BIA measurement entirely so the scale only measures your weight. To do this, turn on Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode in the Wyze app.
To enable Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode:
- In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Scale device.
- Tap on the Settings gear.
- Tap Users, then select your nickname to open the Account Info screen.
- Tap the toggle next to Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode, then Yes to confirm.
Note: This applies to the original Wyze Scale, Wyze Scale S, Wyze Scale X, Wyze Scale Ultra, and Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.
