How do I use Auto Comfort?

Wyze Thermostat and Wyze Room Sensors can form a group to help average out the temperature across your home. Once Auto Comfort is turned on, the thermostat will automatically choose which room sensors are detecting motion (occupancy), and balance the climate for those rooms.

To enable Auto Comfort:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Thermostat.
  2. Tap on the sensor icon on top right.
  3. Toggle Auto Comfort on.

To edit which sensors are included:

With Auto Comfort enabled, tap Edit. Tap the minus and plus icons to remove or add room sensors for the thermostat to include. Tap the Home and Sleep icons to add them to those modes.

What happens if Wyze Thermostat loses connection?

If the thermostat loses connection to all participating sensors, the thermostat will use the local thermostat temperature.

Additional Notes

  • If Auto Comfort is on, at least 1 sensor must be participating in Home and Sleep Mode.
  • At least one sensor's temperature must always be included in comfort control.
  • Your thermostat will automatically include or exclude the sensor(s) based on how many people the sensor detects in the room.
  • If Wyze Room Sensor detects motion, it will be included in the group for temperature averaging. If the sensor does not detect motion for 30 minutes, that sensor will be excluded.
  • Wyze Room Sensor reports the temperature to Wyze Thermostat every 2 minutes.
  • When Auto Comfort is turned off, all participating sensors will contribute to an average number. This number will be used as the current room temperature and the thermostat will heat/cool gradually until the current temperature meets this number.
