Problem
You are a Cam Unlimited Pro subscriber and are unable to turn on Descriptive Alerts.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that your Wyze app is updated to version 3.3 or higher.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
- If possible, check that your camera’s firmware is up to date.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
- If there is an update available for the camera, please move forward with updating it.
- Verify that your Cam Unlimited Pro license is assigned to the correct camera.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Services.
- Make sure the camera is set to record correctly.
- Navigate to the camera’s settings > Event Recording > toggle on Record Motion Events.
- Verify that your Wyze Cam is assigned to work with AI Video Search.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Wyze Intelligence.
- Power cycle the camera.
- If your camera is wired, unplug the camera from its power source for 5 seconds and then plug it back in.
- If your camera is battery-powered, remove and reinsert the camera’s battery.
- Reset your service attached to the camera.
- In the Wyze app, navigate to your camera's settings.
- Scroll down to Reset Services > tap Reset.
- After resetting your service, you will need to set up monitoring for that camera again.
- You can do this by going to the Account tab > Services.
