Wyze Light Strip (or Pro) isn't following my Timer settings.

Problem

Your Wyze Light Strip or Pro is not adhering to the Timer you set to turn on or off at a specific time.

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure your app firmware is up to date.
    1. Navigate to the Account tab > Tap About.
    2. Your app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Navigate to our Release Notes and Firmware Page to compare your app firmware with the latest firmware available.
    4. If your app is not up to date, head over to the app store on your phone/tablet device to update the Wyze app.
  2. Make sure your Wyze Light Strip Firmware is up to date.
    1. Navigate to the Account tab. Tap Firmware Update. If you see the option to update your Wyze Light Strip, go ahead with that step.
  3. Force close your Wyze app.
  4. Sign out of the Wyze app and sign back in.
  5. Cancel the Timer, then recreate it and try it again.
  6. Power cycle your Wyze Light Strip, by unplugging it and plugging it back in after about 30 seconds.
  7. Perform a factory reset.
    1. Before performing this step, please send us an app log and take note of the ID it generates for you. Doing the factory reset before sending a log can delete helpful information that could identify what is causing the issue.
      1. In the Wyze app, tap on the Wyze Light Strip (or Pro).
      2. Tap the Settings gear.
      3. Tap Wyze Support > Submit a Log > Other.
      4. Choose Other, and describe the issue with the Timer before tapping Submit.
    2. To perform a factory reset, press and hold the side button on the controller for 7+ seconds until the strip starts pulsing.
