Wyze Car is controlled using a unique Wyze Car app and a Wyze Cam v2 that has been turned into a Car Cam. It cannot be controlled using the standard Wyze app.
To set up Wyze Car:
- Before you begin, assemble Wyze Car following the instructions in the Quick Start Guide or Wyze Car Assembly Guide.
- Ensure a compatible camera is set up and functioning on the regular Wyze app.
- Wyze Car is only compatible with Wyze Cam v2.
- Download the Wyze Car app from your phone/tablet’s app store.
- Open the Wyze Car app and sign in using the same email address and password that you use for the regular Wyze app.
- Select which camera you would like to convert to a Car Cam and the firmware will automatically begin updating to the Car Cam firmware.
- Note: Once converted to a Car Cam, the camera’s firmware will need to be manually flashed to revert it back to a regular camera.
- You’re all set to begin driving!
