Wyze Battery Cam Setup Guide

Before you begin setup:

1. Download the Wyze app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Connect your smartphone or tablet to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
3. Unpack your Wyze Battery Cam, removing all plastic and packing materials.
   • Be sure to remove the plastic film from the lens.
4. Charge the camera with a 5V/2A power adapter (not included)
   • It takes 4-6 hours to fully charge the camera from 0 to 100%.
   • The status light is solid red when the camera is charging.
   • The status light is solid blue when the camera is fully charged.

To set up your Wyze Battery Cam or Wyze Solar Cam:

1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap + plus sign on the top right.
2. On the Add menu, tap Device.
3. Tap Cameras > Battery Cams > Wyze Solar Cam / Wyze Battery Cam.
   1. Tap Wyze Battery Cam to set up the camera without a solar panel.
   2. Tap Wyze Solar Cam to set up the camera with a solar panel.
4. Ensure your camera is fully charged, then tap Begin Setup.
5. Press and hold the SETUP button under the camera. It will say “ready to connect”.
   • The status light will begin flashing red.
   • The camera may say “ready to connect” without pressing the SETUP button. If so, continue.
6. In the app, check the box next to It said, “Ready to connect”. Then tap Next.
7. If BluetoothⓇ hasn’t already been enabled, you’ll be prompted to allow BluetoothⓇ access. Tap Okay.
   • If BluetoothⓇ has already been enabled, it will skip to the next step.
8. The Wyze app will begin searching and pairing to your camera.
   1. Have multiple Wyze Battery Cams or Wyze Solar Cams? Select the correct camera by tapping the option that matches the MAC address on the top of the camera.
9. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter your network password. Tap Next. 
   
   1. Tap the icon in the password field to display the password to ensure it was entered correctly.
10. Success! Your camera is set up and ready to install. Tap Next.
11. Follow the in-app steps to install your device. Once installation is complete, tap Next.
12. Name your camera using the text field, or by choosing a suggestion, then tap Next.
13. Tap Finish when done.
14. You may be prompted to try a Wyze Security Plan if you're not already a subscriber.
15. Set up some automations on the Things to Try* page, or tap Skip.
16. You’re all set. Tap Done and enjoy your new Wyze device.
