Wyze Bulb White Features

Wyze Bulb White does a lot more than just add light to a space. It is a smart, tunable LED bulb with 90+ CRI, and a hefty list of features to keep your lighting just right.

Grouping your Wyze Bulb White

With Grouping, you can control multiple Wyze Bulbs at the same time, or organize your Wyze Bulbs for Scenes and Shortcuts. Follow these steps to create a group:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Device Group.
  3. Tap Lighting Group.
  4. In the top field, Enter a group name, then tap Done on the keyboard.
  5. Select the bulbs you want to include in the group. 
  6. Tap Done on the top right. 

Additional Notes:

  • Grouped devices will not display on the Home screen, but within the group itself.
  • To view the bulbs in a group, tap on the group's name on the Home screen.
  • A bulb can only be added to one group at a time. 
  • While a bulb is in a group, you can adjust the individual bulb's settings by tapping on that specific bulb in the group. 

Sharing your Wyze Bulb White

Sharing your Wyze Bulb White with other Wyze users gives them the ability to control those lights, like switching it on and off. Follow these steps to share:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Bulb.
  2. Tap on the Settings gear, then Share Device.
  3. Either select someone from your Recent Shares or enter their email address.
  4. Tap Share.

Once you've sent out a Share invite, the person you shared it with can accept by going to the Account tab, tapping the Notifications icon on the top right, and accepting the share.

Using Automations with Wyze Bulb White

Automations help automate your Wyze Bulb White, making it easier to turn it on/off with a single tap in the app, have it turn on/off at a scheduled time or when triggered by another device.

  • Shortcuts run actions with a tap in the Wyze app.
  • Schedules control devices based on the time of day.
  • Device Triggers connect multiple Wyze devices so one can trigger another.

An example Shortcut with the Wyze Bulb White:

To create a shortcut to turn off your Wyze Bulb with a single tap from the Home screen:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Automation > Shortcut.
  3. Add a name for the shortcut in the text box under the star icon.
    • Try "Turn off bulb"
  4. Tap the + plus sign next to Action.
    1. Tap on your Wyze Bulb from the list.
    2. Tap Turn Off, then Save.
  5. When finished, tap Save.

Your shortcut will display with a star icon at the top of the Home screen.

An example Schedule with the Wyze Bulb White:

To create a schedule to turn on your Wyze Bulb White every day at 5:00 PM:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Automation > Schedule.
  3. Tap the Wyze Bulb you want to create a schedule for.
  4. Select Turn On, then Next.
  5. Tap the + plus sign next to Name (Optional).
    1. Enter a name for the schedule. Try "Turn on bulb"
    2. Tap Save.
  6. Tap Start Time.
    • Select 5:00 PM, then Save.
  7. Tap Save.

An example Device Trigger with Wyze Bulb White:

To create a device trigger that turns off your Wyze Bulb White when another Wyze Bulb White turns off. This can come in handy if you want all bulbs in a room turn off at once.

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Automation > Device & Service Trigger.
  3. Tap the + plus sign next to Name (Optional).
    1. Enter a name for the schedule. Try "Turn off the lights"
    2. Tap Save.
  4. Tap Device Trigger.
    1. Select your Wyze Bulb.
    2. Tap Turn off, then Save.
  5. Tap the + plus sign next to Action.
    1. Select your other Wyze Bulb.
    2. Tap Turn Off, then Save.
  6. When finished, tap Save.

Adjusting Brightness and Color

Adjust your Wyze Bulb's brightness and color temperature from warm white (2700k) to daylight (6500k) in the Wyze app.

To change the Brightness and Color:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Bulb White.
  2. Tap and drag on the horizontal slider to change the brightness.
  3. Tap and drag on the round slider to change the color temperature.

Scenes

Scenes let you create presets for your Brightness and Color for your Wyze Bulb White.

To create a Scene:

  1. Open the Wyze app.
  2. Tap on the bulb’s listing in either the Devices list on the Home tab, or from within the bulb’s group
  3. Set the Brightness and Color sliders to your preference
  4. Tap the + button beneath the sliders to add a Scene
  5. Name your Scene and tap Save
Note: You can have up to 3 scenes saved at a time.

You can edit a Scene in two ways. The first is to press and hold its listing on the bulb's device page until the Edit window pops up. For the second method:

  1. Open the Wyze app.
  2. Tap on the bulb’s listing in either the Devices list on the Home tab, or from within the bulb's group.
  3. Tap the Settings gear in the top right.
  4. Go to Scenes.
  5. Select the scene you want to edit.

To delete a Scene:

  1. Open the Wyze app.
  2. Tap on the bulb’s listing in either the Devices list on the Home tab, or from within the bulb’s group.
  3. Tap the Settings gear in the top right.
  4. Go to Scenes.
  5. Tap Edit.
  6. Tap the red icon next to the scene you want to delete.

Vacation Mode

Going out of town? Vacation Mode for Wyze Bulb White makes it look like you are home when you are away, by turning your bulbs on and off randomly. 

To turn on Vacation Mode:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Bulb White.
  2. Tap on the Settings gear on the top right.
  3. Next to Vacation Mode, tap the toggle on.

Additional Notes

  • Vacation Mode will remain enabled until you turn it off.
  • Vacation Mode turns your bulbs on and off at random intervals between 6 AM-9 AM, and 6 PM-11 PM local time, when you're most likely to use your lights.
  • Each bulb with Vacation Mode enabled will turn on for between 5 minutes to a full 60 minutes.
  • Each bulb with Vacation Mode turned on will turn on at least once per hour.
  • Vacation Mode is turned on/off per bulb.
