What is the Motion Warning on Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro?

Motion Warning is a feature on Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro that will deter any unwanted visitors by telling them that they are being recorded.

When enabled, when a person is detected your floodlight will say, “Hi, you are currently being recorded” every 10 seconds.

To enable Motion Warning:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro.
  2. Tap on the Settings gear, then Event Recording.
  3. Toggle on Record Motion Events then tap Smart Detection Events.
  4. Tap Smart Detection and toggle on Person
  5. Navigate to the Detection Settings.
  6. Toggle on Motion Warning.

You can even use this feature with Automations! Here's an scenario that will turn Motion Warning on every day after 10 PM, and turn it off at 7 AM:

To create your schedule for Motion Warning:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Automation > Schedule.
  3. Tap Name (Optional) to name your automation (ex. Bedtime Motion Warning)
  4. Tap Add Action, then your Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro
  5. Tap the box next to Turn on motion warning, then tap Save.
  6. Select a Start Time of 10 PM and an End Time of 7 AM.
  7. Check the box next to Turn on motion warning, then tap Save.
  8. Tap Save again, and then you’re all set!
