The Ambient Light settings aren't working for my Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro.

Problem

Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro is not adhering to the Ambient Light settings.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
  2. Check that your Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the floodlight, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in your phone/tablet settings.
    1. Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.
    2. For iOS, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.
  4. Ensure the Floodlight Settings are set correctly.
    1. Navigate to the floodlight's settings > Floodlight Settings.
    2. Under Ambient Light Settings, tap Ambient Light.
      1. Toggle on Ambient Light.
      2. Under Brightness Level, adjust the slider bar to High.
      3. Under Ambient Light Schedule, tap Schedule.
        1. Set a different schedule to clear any stuck settings then set it back to your preferred timeframe.
        2. Test the floodlight during the set timeframe.
        3. Note: Having Ambient Light enabled will keep the floodlight’s lights turned on during the scheduled time.
  5. Verify that there are no Rules set up that could be causing interference.
    1. Navigate to the Home tab of the Wyze app, tap the pencil icon in the upper right-hand corner > Edit Rules.
    2. Note: We recommend deleting any Rules and then adding them back one by one while testing.
  6. Confirm that there are no shared users adjusting the lights.
  7. Power cycle Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro.
    1. Switch the breaker to the off position.
    2. Wait 5-10 seconds.
    3. Switch the breaker back to the on position.
  8. Factory reset Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro.
    1. Remove any microSD card inserted into the floodlight.
    2. With the floodlight powered on, press and hold the setup button on the back of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light on the bottom of the camera turns solid red.
    3. Once the status light starts flashing purple, set up the floodlight like new.
