How do I factory reset Wyze Cam Pan v3?

This article contains instructions on how to factory reset your Wyze Cam Pan v3. Before proceeding, back up important data if needed. This operation will clear local data, disconnect the account, and restore all settings to default.

To factory reset Wyze Cam Pan v3:

  1. Remove any microSD card that is inserted into the camera.

    1. If you have one installed, you must remove the microSD card before resetting your Wyze Cam Pan v3.

  2. Ensure the camera is plugged into power and powered on. The next step will reset your device.
  3. Press and hold the SETUP button underneath the camera for 10 seconds.
    1. Single-pressing the SETUP button will not reset your Wyze Cam Pan v3. You must press and hold the SETUP button for 10 seconds, until the status light turns red, to reset the device.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds for the unit to initialize.
    • This process may take up to 5 minutes. It's rare, but it's possible.
  5. Once the status light starts flashing red, the camera is fully reset.
  6. You can now set up the device as new in the Wyze app.

What happens when you factory reset your Wyze Cam Pan v3:

  • The device settings and previous Wi-Fi/setup state are cleared.
