All Wyze devices have a handy status light that helps determine what state the device is in. You can find the status light above the camera’s lens on your Wyze Cam Floodlight v2.
Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 Status Light Guide
Status light: | What does the light mean? |
Solid red light |
The floodlight is powered on and initializing, the user is watching the live stream, or an Event is being recorded. |
Flashing red light |
The floodlight is ready to connect to Wi-Fi. |
Flashing red and blue lights |
The device is connecting to Wi-Fi. |
Flashing blue light |
The device is finishing setup. |
Solid blue light |
The device is powered and fully connected. |
Solid purple light |
The floodlight is updating its firmware. |
To turn on/off the status light:
- In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam device.
- Tap on the Settings gear > Advanced Settings.
- Tap the toggle next to Camera Status Light.
You can turn off the status light on all Wyze Cam and video doorbell devices except Wyze Video Doorbell Pro.
