IFTTT Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble with IFTTT, try the following steps:

Refresh your connection to Wyze on IFTTT:

  1. Open IFTTT via the IFTTT app or website.
  2. Navigate to the 'My Applets' section (bottom right corner).
  3. Near the top right, tap 'Services' & locate the Wyze service.
  4. Tap the settings icon in the top right corner. If there is an error stating 'Service Offline' tap 'Reconnect.' If this is not here tap 'Disconnect Wyze.'
    • If you have the option to 'Reconnect' the service, please skip to step #6.
  5. After disconnecting, you will be taken back to the main service page. Tap 'Connect.'
  6. Sign in with your Wyze account details and accept letting IFTTT use your device list.
  7. Your Wyze Service is now refreshed.

Rebuild the Applet:

  1. As with above, open IFTTT via the IFTTT app or website.
  2. Navigate to the 'My Applets' section (bottom right corner).
  3. Staying on the 'All' tab this time, find and open the Wyze Applet that is having issues.
  4. Open the settings for the Applet (top right corner), scroll to the bottom and tap 'Delete.'
  5. Now, tap 'New Applet' (the + in the top right corner) and reconstruct the Applet.

If you use Android WiFi or Battery Applets in Android 8:

  1. Open IFTTT.
  2. Tap the My Applets tab on the lower right-hand side of the screen.
  3. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
  4. Tap "Sync options."
  5. Toggle on "Run Android Battery and WiFi Applets faster."

If you are having trouble with Location services:

  1. Enable your WiFi setting (you don't need to be connected to a WiFi network for this).
  2. Make sure IFTTT is authorized to run in the background (check your battery settings for this).
  3. Disable power saving mode on your device.
  4. Check your map to make sure that your location is accurate.

If the issue persists, please contact support with the following information:

  1. What other IFTTT services are you using (if any).
  2. The type of error you are getting in IFTTT. You can find this in the IFTTT app -> Activity -> Errors. If there are no errors please let us know that as well.
  3. Time of errors.
  4. Wyze account username.

Gather that information and feel free to contact us.

Additional Information:

If you change your Wyze account password, you will need to refresh the connection in IFTTT as it will lose its authentication to the Wyze device list.
