Problem
If night vision is not looking as you would expect, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take on Wyze Cam v3.
Troubleshooting
Check if Night Vision is on:
- In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam v3.
- Manually cycle through your Night Vision settings.
- Navigate to the camera’s settings > Advanced Settings.
- Under Night Vision Mode, cycle between On, Off, and Auto.
- If the Night Vision option is selected but does not look as expected, try to unplug the camera and allow 5-10 seconds before plugging it back in. Check to see if changing the settings now turns on Night Vision as expected.
Reposition the camera:
If Night Vision is turned on, and the image looks black and white while the room's lights are turned on (or while the sun is up), but looks completely black in the dark, this could be a sign that the IR lights are simply turned off. To make sure the IR lights are enabled:
- In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam v3.
- Tap the settings gear, then Advanced Settings.
- Check Night Vision IR Lights to make sure that it’s toggled on.
- No Night Vision IR Lights? Tap Auto or On to display the option.
