My Wyze Duo Cam Pan is not tracking motion.

Problem

The camera is not tracking motion, is not tracking enough motion, or is choppy.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that your Wyze Duo Cam Pan’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the camera, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Ensure Track Motion is turned on.
    1. Under the camera’s live stream, swipe left/right on the toolbar to find Track Motion.
    2. Tap to turn it off/on.
      • The icon will be green when on.
  4. Turn off Pan Scan.
    1. Under the camera’s live stream, swipe left/right on the toolbar to find Pan Scan.
    2. Tap to turn it on/off.

  5. Disable any Detection Zone.
    1. In the camera’s settings, tap Detection Settings > Pan Cam > Detection Zone.
    2. Toggle off Detection Zone.
    3. Note: If you adjust your camera’s view while a Detection Zone is enabled, the camera will automatically return to its original position after 15 seconds of being idle.
  6. Adjust the camera’s sensitivity.
    1. In the camera’s settings, tap Detection Settings > Pan Cam.
    2. Adjust the Motion Detection Sensitivity slider bar to Low.

    1. In the camera’s settings, tap Pan Cam Controls.
    2. Next to Calibrate, tap Start.
    3. Wait for the calibration to complete before exiting that screen.
  8. Power cycle Wyze Duo Cam Pan.
    1. Unplug the camera from its power source for 5-10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  9. Factory reset the camera and then set it up as new.
    1. Remove any microSD card that is inserted into the camera.
    2. With the camera powered on, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
