Most likely, if you're in the US.
Wyze Palm Lock is compatible with most standard US doors (with a thickness of 35 mm-55 mm). Some doors may require drilling, chiseling, or extra tools if they are not standard US doors.
Wyze Palm Lock is not recommended if:
- Your door is too thin, with a thickness < 35 mm.
- Your lock is behind a storm door.*
The video below applies to Wyze Palm Lock and Wyze Lock Bolt.
After you remove your existing lock, you will line up the template to check your backset and ensure the lock is compatible without any adjustments. If it is not, follow along in the installation guide video to get it lined up.
Is my door thick enough for Wyze Palm Lock?
Your door must be between 35mm-55mm in thickness to use Wyze Palm Lock. If your door is thinner than 35mm, we do not recommend installing this lock as it may not function properly.
What hardware is not compatible with my lock?
Because Wyze Palm Lock is a deadbolt replacement lock, it works with most standard US doors.
However, if you want to avoid extra tools and unnecessary hassle, Wyze Palm Lock is not recommended with the following deadbolts or doors:
- Doors that do not meet the following thickness criteria:
- Mortise or Integrated Lock & Handles
- Rim Cylinder (you will need a circular saw or spade bit to expand the main hole on the door)
- Dutch doors (doors that open at the top and bottom)
Important Note: Wyze Palm Lock is not compatible with storm doors, as this can greatly impact battery life. If installed with a storm door, we highly recommend that you enable Extreme Battery Saving Mode.
