Tap SD Card below the livestream.
In a recent Wyze app release, we updated the livestream page for Wyze Cam v3 to be more consistent with our newer cameras. The feature is still available, but the button is called SD Card.
Why the change?
The Playback button was removed for nearly all of our newer Wyze cameras including Wyze Cam v4, and SD Card has been present in the app for years now. Updating this button for our Wyze Cam v3 was a move towards better consistency across the Wyze app. Instead of "View Playback," you can access your microSD card recordings by tapping "SD Card".
Is the Playback button totally gone?
Not entirely. Older devices, like Wyze Cam Pan v2, will still display that button. Those Wyze cameras will not be updated with the new livestream page with SD card in the Menu bar.
Do I have to purchase a subscription to view my local recordings?
No, not at all. You can still access and use this features the same way you always have. Simply tap SD Card in the Wyze app and if you have a microSD card installed, the local recording feature will function as it always has.
💥 However, a subscription to Cam Unlimited Pro gets you Continuous Video Recording (CVR), which lets you review your local and cloud recordings simultaneously on one playback screen. This is an entirely optional subscription and does not replace the included 24/7 continuous local recording option. Learn more about Continuous Video Recording here.
