Problem
Your Wyze Lock Bolt v2’s display is not lighting up, or the device is not powering on.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure the lock is properly powered.
- Wyze Lock Bolt v2 requires 8x 1.5V AA batteries.
- Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly, with the plus sides aligning with plus and the negative sides aligning with negative.
- Tap the keypad display to check if it lights up.
- Note: Be sure to tap on the numbered area.
- Ensure the exterior assembly’s cable is inserted correctly into the interior assembly.
- The cable should be routed underneath the deadbolt.
- The red dot on the cable should be facing up, aligning with the red dot on the interior assembly.
- If possible, try to power the lock using the emergency power method.
- On the bottom of the external assembly, insert a USB-C cable securely into the emergency power port.
- Attach the USB-C cable to a power bank or other power source.
- Check if the keypad display lights up.
- Power cycle Wyze Lock Bolt v2.
- Remove all 8 batteries completely for 10 seconds, then place them back into the lock, ensuring they are positioned properly and firmly.
- Replace the batteries.
- If possible, factory reset Wyze Lock Bolt v2.
- Remove the cover on the interior assembly by pressing in and up on the top portion of the interior assembly.
- Press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds until the status light begins pulsing red.
- Once the status light starts pulsing red, set up the lock as new.
Note: When assembling Wyze Lock Bolt v2, ensure that the cable with the red marks is connected before installing the batteries.
