Problem
Your Wyze Light Strip or Wyze Light Strip Pro shows offline in the Wyze app, has trouble connecting, or disconnects frequently.
Troubleshooting

Confirm your Wyze app is up to date.

In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.

Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.

Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.

If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.

If possible, check that your Wyze Light Strip's firmware is up to date.
-
You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.

If there is an update available for the light strip, please move forward with updating it.

Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.

Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.

For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.

Confirm that your light strip is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and that the network is functioning normally.

Ensure the light strip is securely connected to the controller and power adapter.
-
Verify that the light strip’s power adapter is securely inserted into the outlet.

Try moving the light strip closer to the router.
-
Force close the Wyze app.
-
Reboot your Wi-Fi router.

Power cycle your Wyze Light Strip.

Turn the light strip off via the controller or by unplugging it from the outlet.

Wait at least 5 seconds, then turn it back on or plug it back into the outlet.

Factory reset Wyze Light Strip.

Press and hold the button on the side of the controller for at least 7 seconds until the strip starts pulsing.

Walk through setting up the light strip like new in the Wyze app.
