Cam Plus Annual Price Increase FAQ

Starting March 2026, the price for Cam Plus Annual will increase to $29.99 for US customers (CAD$40.99* for customers in Canada). Below are answers to some common FAQs.

Why the price increase?

  • The costs to run and support Cam Plus have increased significantly since we launched it four years ago.
  • We want to continue investing and improving the Wyze experience.
  • Our newer cams (like 4K, 2K, and Duo models) have higher storage and processing needs.
  • New features and major updates have increased the service's value and cost, including:
    • Animated Alerts
    • Garage Door Detection
    • Wyze Web View
    • Multi-Cam Timeline
    • Sound Detections like Glass Breaking, Baby Crying, and Dog Barking

When does my price change?

We are not increasing everyone’s price on a single calendar date.Instead, your Cam Plus Annual price will update when your subscription renews:

  • If your annual renewal date is before March 2, 2026
    → You will be charged the current annual price for that renewal.
  • If your annual renewal date is on or after March 2, 2026
    → You will be charged the new annual price for that renewal.

Example

  • If your renewal date is January 15, 2026, you’ll pay $19.99 for that renewal, and your price will increase to $29.99 on your next renewal in January 2027.
  • If your renewal date is July 10, 2026, you’ll pay $29.99 starting with that July 2026 renewal.

I'm in Canada. Will the price increase for me?

Yes, the price for Cam Plus Annual for users in Canada will increase from CAD$24.99 per year to CAD$40.99 per year. The monthly price remains the same.

Will I be notified before I'm charged the new price?

Yes. For Cam Plus Annual subscriptions, you’ll receive a renewal notice at least 30 days before your renewal date, which will include:

  • Your upcoming renewal price
  • A link to manage or cancel your subscription

How this notice is sent depends on where you subscribed:

  • If you subscribed through Apple App Store, the store send renewal notifications directly and include pricing information according to its policies.
  • If you subscribed through Google Play / Wyze.com / my.wyze.com, the renewal notice email will come from Wyze.

I'm on a free trial. How does this affect me?

If you are currently on a free trial for Cam Plus Annual, the price you pay for your first paid year depends on when you started the trial:

  • If you started your trial before the price change and saw $19.99/year (or CAD $24.99/year) when you signed up: 
    • Your first paid year after the trial ends will be charged at the old price you saw when you started the trial.
    • The new price will apply starting with your next renewal after that first paid year.
  • If you start a new free trial on or after March 2, 2026, you’ll see and be charged the new price at the end of your trial.

Example

  • You start a 30‑day free trial on February 20, 2026 at $19.99/year
    • When your trial ends in March, you’ll be charged $19.99 for your first year.
    • Your next renewal a year later(2027) will be at the new $29.99 price.
  • You start a free trial on March 5, 2026 and see $29.99/year
    • When your trial ends, you’ll be charged $29.99 for your first year.

Can I cancel my subscription before the price increases?

I have several Wyze Cams. Can I put Cam Plus on all of them?

You absolutely can - but note the price, as it adds up per device. If you have three or more cameras, check out Cam Unlimited, which covers all your Wyze Cams for one low price $9.99/mo.

Will the monthly subscription for Cam Plus go up?

No, the monthly subscription for Cam Plus will remain $2.99/mo (CAD$3.55/mo). Same features, same benefits—just a higher value with our annual subscription.
