My Wyze Indoor Cam Pan is rotating by itself.

Problem

My Wyze Indoor Cam Pan is rotating by itself – I’m not doing anything or changing any settings.

Note: Wyze Indoor Cam Pan resets, it will rotate while initializing.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that Wyze Indoor Cam Pan’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the camera, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Ensure the camera’s power cable and adapter are fully and securely inserted into the camera and the power source.
  4. Try a different power cable, adapter, or outlet.
    • If the camera is not getting enough or consistent power, it may be resetting.
  5. Turn off Smart Track.
    1. Under the camera’s live stream, swipe left/right on the toolbar to find Smart Track
    2. Tap to turn it on/off.
      • The icon will be grey when turned off.
  6. Turn off Pan Scan.
    1. Under the camera’s live stream, swipe left/right on the toolbar to find Pan Scan.
    2. Tap to turn it on/off.
      • The icon will be grey when turned off.
  7. Disable any Detection Zone.
    1. In the camera’s settings, tap Detection Settings > Detection Zone.
    2. Toggle off Detection Zone.
    3. Note: If the camera’s view is adjusted while a Detection Zone is enabled, the camera will automatically return to its original position after 15 seconds of being idle.
  8. Check if there are any shared users adjusting the camera.
    1. Navigate to the camera’s settings > Sharing.
    2. Temporarily remove shared users if needed.
  9. Power cycle Wyze Indoor Cam Pan.
    1. Unplug the camera from its power source for 5-10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  10. Factory reset the camera and then set it up as new.
    1. Remove any microSD card that is inserted into the camera.
    2. With the camera powered on, manually adjust the camera lens so that it is pointing up.
    3. Below the camera lens, press and hold the setup button for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
    4. Once the status light starts flashing red, set up the camera as new.
