My Wyze Indoor Cam Pan has poor image quality.

Problem

Your Wyze Indoor Cam Pan displays a distorted, blurred, or tinted image in the live stream or in recorded events.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that Wyze Indoor Cam Pan’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the camera, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Ensure there is nothing impairing the camera’s lens.
    1. Remove any plastic film or cover from the lens.
    2. Gently wipe the lens with a soft cloth to remove any dust or debris.
    3. If there is a third-party cover on the device, please remove it.
    4. If the camera is used behind a window, check that the window is also clean and transparent.
  4. Verify that there are no additional light sources next to or pointing toward the camera lens that may cause interference.
    1. If the camera is in the direct path of the sun, it is possible that a lens flare appears in the image. Adjust the position of the camera angle to remove the flare, but this is an expected phenomenon in standard cameras.
  5. Adjust the camera resolution.
    1. From the camera’s live stream, tap the resolution icon to toggle between the modes.
    2. Note: We recommend setting it to 2K resolution.
  6. Cycle through Night Vision Mode.
    1. Navigate to the camera’s settings > Advanced Settings.
    2. Cycle through AutoOn, and Off.
    3. Note: We recommend setting it to Auto.
  7. Restart the camera.
    1. Navigate to the camera’s settings > Restart Camera > Restart
  8. Power cycle Wyze Indoor Cam Pan.
    1. Unplug the camera from its power source for 5-10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  9. Factory reset the camera and then set it up as new.
    1. Remove any microSD card that is inserted into the camera.
    2. With the camera powered on, manually adjust the camera lens so that it is pointing up.
    3. Below the camera lens, press and hold the setup button for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
    4. Once the status light starts flashing red, set up the camera as new.
