Wyze Scale X Setup Troubleshooting

Problem

You are unable to set up your Wyze Scale X. The setup process fails in the Wyze app.

Troubleshooting

  • Confirm the Wyze app is up to date.

  • Check that location permissions are enabled for the Wyze app.

  • Force close the Wyze app.

  • Make sure BluetoothⓇ permissions are turned on and are enabled for the Wyze app. 

    • Toggle Bluetooth off, then back on.

  • Power cycle the scale by removing and reinstalling the batteries.

  • Power cycle your phone by turning it off, then turning it back on.

  • Factory reset the scale.

    • Send a log from the Wyze app.

    • On the back of the scale, find the UNIT button under the battery cover. To factory reset the scale, press and hold it for 3 seconds until the LED display shows "Clr".

    • Set up the scale as new.
