How do I manage automatic firmware updates?

Wyze Video Doorbell Pro supports the Automatic Update feature, which allows your device to update its firmware silently, without interruption. Automatic Update is enabled by default, and can be managed from your camera's settings.

To turn off automatic updates:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze device.
  2. Tap the Settings gear, then Device Info > Firmware Version.
  3. Tap Automatic Update. 
  4. Tap to toggle this setting off.

To turn on automatic updates:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze device.
  2. Tap the Settings gear, then Device Info > Firmware Version.
  3. Tap Automatic Update. 
  4. Tap to toggle this setting on.
  5. Under Timing, you can set when the device can auto-update.
    • Any Time: The device will update whenever a new firmware version is available.
    • Custom: The device will update when a new firmware version is available during this specific time frame.

The Automatic Update feature is not available on these cameras: Wyze Cam v1, Wyze Cam v2, Wyze Cam Pan v1, Wyze Video Doorbell v1, Wyze Base Station, and Wyze Cam v3 accessories.
