Before installing Wyze Doorbell Chime Controller, you'll first set up your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell in the Wyze app. Start with the Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell Setup Guide, then return to this article when if you want to use your home's built-in chime.

To install your Wyze Doorbell Chime Controller:
Using the Wyze app, complete steps 1-11 in the Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell Setup Guide.
Continue below, following along in the Wyze app to wire your doorbell.
- Ring your doorbell to ensure your existing chime is working as expected.
- Turn off power to your existing mechanical doorbell at your electrical panel.

- Turn off power to your existing mechanical doorbell at your electrical panel.
- Press the doorbell button again to check that the power is turned off. Tap Next.
- Open your chime box and take a photo of your current wiring. Tap Next in the app.
- Select the option in the Wyze app that best matches your chime's wiring setup and follow along in the app to connect the wires to the correct terminals.
Typically, homes with 1 doorbell have 2 wires, homes with 2 doorbells have 3 wires, etc.- If you have 2 wires, follow the instructions to connect to the fuse wire.
- See the Before and After Installation graphics below for reference.
- If you have 3 wires, follow the instructions to select the correct door, and connect the proper wires.
- If you have 4 or more wires, follow the instructions to find the proper wires to connect.
- This will involve some trial and error. If you are not comfortable testing your electrical panel, stop. Call your local electrician for help.
- If you have 2 wires, follow the instructions to connect to the fuse wire.
- After completing the wiring instructions and capping the wires, mount your doorbell onto the mounting plate or bracket.
- Turn on power at the electrical panel, then test that your doorbell rings when pressed. If it does, close the chime box.
- In the Wyze app, go to your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell > Settings > Chime.
- Then tap My built-in house chime > Mechanical.
- Your Wyze Doorbell Chime Controller installation is complete!
