Can I use 24/7 continuous recording with Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell?

Yes, with a microSD card and AC power.

You can enable 24/7 local recording on your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell as long as you have a microSD card installed, and your doorbell is hardwired. No subscription required!

To enable Continuous recording on your doorbell

If your doorbell is already hardwired and you have a microSD card installed:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell.
  2. Tap on the Settings gear, then Advanced Settings.
  3. Tap the toggle next to Record to microSD Card, then tap Continuous.

If your doorbell is not hardwired and/or you do not have a microSD card installed:

  1. Turn off power to your doorbell at the circuit breaker.
  2. Use the Doorbell Detaching Pin to remove the doorbell from its mount.
  3. Remove the battery pack from the back of the doorbell.
  4. Insert a microSD card in the slot behind the battery pack, then reinstall the battery pack.
  5. Follow the instructions in the Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell Installation Guide to hardwire your doorbell.
  6. Restore power to your doorbell at the circuit breaker.
  7. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell.
  8. Tap on the Settings gear, then Advanced Settings.
  9. Tap the toggle next to Record to microSD Card, then tap Continuous.

Can I enable 24/7 continuous recording without hardwiring my doorbell?

No, you must have the battery pack inserted and the doorbell connected to AC power to enable 24/7 continuous recording. Without hardwiring, the battery drain would be, in a word, extreme. If it's not hardwired, you can still record Events Only.
