Person Detection isn't working. What can I do?

If you have Person Detection enabled, but it isn't actually detecting, give these troubleshooting steps a try:

If Person Detection doesn't work:

  1. Check your app and firmware versions. Your app version should be 2.13.
  2. Make sure Motion Detection is turned on for your Wyze Cam v2 and/or Pan.
  3. Check your Wyze Cam placement with the tips in this article.

If those settings and your camera placement looks OK but you're still having issues, reach out to our Wizards team for more help. We will need your Wyze account email and Mac address to troubleshoot further.
