My Wyze Lamp Socket v2 is not powering the attached camera.

Problem

The attached Wyze Cam is not receiving power from Wyze Lamp Socket v2.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that Wyze Lamp Socket v2 is powered on by checking the status light.
    1. If there is no status light, refer to My Wyze Lamp Socket v2 is not turning on.
  2. Verify that you are using a compatible Wyze Cam.
    • Note: We do not recommend using Wyze Lamp Socket v2 to power other devices, or any devices requiring more than 5V 2A power.
  3. Ensure that there is no dirt or debris impacting the USB outlet on the lamp socket.
  4. Make sure that the cables are securely attached to the camera and the lamp socket.
  5. Disconnect the camera from the lamp socket and attempt to power the camera via an outlet using the power cable and adapter that came with it.
  6. Try an alternate power cable.
  7. Power cycle Wyze Lamp Socket v2.
    1. Manually turn off the socket via the light switch for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
    2. Note: This will power cycle both Wyze Lamp Socket v2 and any attached Wyze Cam.
  8. Factory reset Wyze Lamp Socket v2.
    1. Turn the light switch associated with the lamp socket off and on quickly 3 times.
    2. Wait for the status to start flashing red, then set up Wyze Lamp Socket v2 as new.
  9. Try an alternate camera if possible.
