Problem
The attached Wyze Cam is not receiving power from Wyze Lamp Socket v2.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that Wyze Lamp Socket v2 is powered on by checking the status light.
- If there is no status light, refer to My Wyze Lamp Socket v2 is not turning on.
- Verify that you are using a compatible Wyze Cam.
- Note: We do not recommend using Wyze Lamp Socket v2 to power other devices, or any devices requiring more than 5V 2A power.
- Ensure that there is no dirt or debris impacting the USB outlet on the lamp socket.
- Make sure that the cables are securely attached to the camera and the lamp socket.
- Disconnect the camera from the lamp socket and attempt to power the camera via an outlet using the power cable and adapter that came with it.
- Try an alternate power cable.
- Power cycle Wyze Lamp Socket v2.
- Manually turn off the socket via the light switch for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Note: This will power cycle both Wyze Lamp Socket v2 and any attached Wyze Cam.
- Factory reset Wyze Lamp Socket v2.
- Turn the light switch associated with the lamp socket off and on quickly 3 times.
- Wait for the status to start flashing red, then set up Wyze Lamp Socket v2 as new.
- Try an alternate camera if possible.
