Problem
My Wyze Indoor Cam Pan shows offline in the Wyze app, loads slowly, or disconnects frequently.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
- If possible, check that Wyze Indoor Cam Pan’s firmware is up to date.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
- If there is an update available for the camera, please move forward with updating it.
- Confirm whether the status light is on.
- If not, refer to My Wyze Indoor Cam Pan will not turn on.
- Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.
- Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.
- For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.
- Confirm that the camera is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and that the network is functioning normally.
- Wyze Indoor Cam Pan is not compatible with 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
- Try moving the camera closer to the router.
- Reboot the Wi-Fi router.
- Power cycle Wyze Indoor Cam Pan.
- Unplug the camera from its power source for 5-10 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Factory reset the camera and then set it up as new.
- Remove any microSD card that is inserted into the camera.
- With the camera powered on, manually adjust the camera lens so that it is pointing up.
- Below the camera lens, press and hold the setup button for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
- Once the status light starts flashing red, set up the camera as new.
