Problem
Your Wyze Bulb Cam Pan Color’s status light is not lighting up, or the device is not powering on.
Troubleshooting
- Check if the camera is in a socket with a dimmer switch.
- If it is in a socket with a dimmer switch, we recommend moving the camera to a different socket, or change to a regular on/off switch
- Note: If using dimmer switches, the brightness will need to be adjusted within the Wyze app only. Using the physical dimmer switch will not change brightness and will cause functionality problems.
- If it is in a dimmer switch and cannot be moved to a different socket, ensure that the dimmer switch is turned up to its highest setting.
- If it is in a socket with a dimmer switch, we recommend moving the camera to a different socket, or change to a regular on/off switch
- Verify that the camera is installed securely in the socket.
- Note: It should not be too tight or too loose.
- Ensure that the fixture where Wyze Bulb Cam Pan Color is installed is physically powered on.
- Turn it off, then back on.
- If Wyze Bulb Cam Pan Color was already set up in the Wyze app, ensure the status light is enabled.
- In the Wyze app, go to the camera’s settings > Advanced Settings > Camera Status Lights.
- Toggle the lights off and on.
- Check the socket type. Make sure it’s a standard E26 socket that is compatible with A19 shape bulbs, with a power output bigger than 26W.
- Move the camera to a different socket to determine if there is an issue with the original socket.
- If unable to move to a different location, try installing a regular light bulb in the socket to see if it powers on.
