Problem
Your Wyze Thermostat is showing offline in the Wyze app, loads slowly, or disconnects frequently.
Troubleshooting

Confirm your Wyze app is up to date.

In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.

Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.

Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.

If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.

If possible, check that your Wyze Thermostat's firmware is up to date.
-
You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.

If there is an update available for the thermostat, please move forward with updating it.

Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in your phone/tablet settings.

Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.

For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.

Ensure Wyze Thermostat has a good signal strength.
-
You can check this in the Wyze app by going to the thermostat’s settings > Device Info > Signal Strength.

If it has 2 bars or less, try moving the router closer to the thermostat.

Force close the Wyze app.

If the thermostat is showing offline in the Wyze app but you can still control it manually, refresh the phone/tablet’s Wi-Fi connection.

Reboot the router. Wait at least 5 minutes before proceeding.

Power cycle your Wyze Thermostat.

Turn the breaker off for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

Factory reset your Wyze Thermostat.

Press and hold the control wheel on the thermostat for 10 seconds.

Walk through setting up the thermostat like new in the Wyze app.
