Incomplete Mapping Troubleshooting

Problem:

 

Your Wyze Robot Vacuum skips rooms when in use, the map is incomplete in the app.

 

Troubleshooting:

  1. If you are using an Android device: 
    1. Make sure your Wyze app is updated to version 2.16+.
  2. If you are using an iOS device: 
    1. Make sure your Wyze app is updated to 2.16.48+.  
  3. Try logging out of the Wyze app, and then log back in.
  4. Force close the Wyze app.
  5. Try Resetting the Vacuums map:
    1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Robot Vacuum.
    2. Tap the Settings gear in the top right corner.
    3. Tap Reset Map, then tap Reset in the pop up.
    4. Once complete, suggest completing a "Clean" with the vacuum starting at the charging station and returning to the charging station with no interruptions during the clean.
  6. Factory reset the WRV and set it up as a new device. 
    1. Before performing this step, send in an app log and take note of the app log ID.
  • In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Robot Vacuum
  • Tap the settings icon > Wyze Support > Submit a log
  • Choose Mapping Issues
  • Fill out the details and submit your app log. Write down the generated app log ID just in case you have to send it in to support. 
  1. Press and hold the home button for 5 seconds. 
  2. The customer will hear “factory reset will begin.”
  3. Release and hold the home button again for 5 seconds.
  4. The customer will hear “Factory reset was successful.”
