My Wyze Scale BodyScan’s firmware fails to update.

Problem

When you try to update the firmware for your Wyze Scale BodyScan, it fails.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2.  Verify that the scale is connected to the Wyze app.
    1. In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale BodyScan, then step on the scale to activate it.
    2. Ensure that "Connected" displays in the app and the Bluetooth® symbol appears in the upper-left corner of the scale's screen.
    3. Note: Wyze Scale BodyScan connects via Bluetooth® and must be connected to Bluetooth® to update the firmware.
  3. Keep the scale and mobile device close together, and keep the Wyze app open, for the entire update.
  4. Keep the scale awake during the update. It powers off after about 15 seconds of inactivity; step on or tap the scale to keep it active.
  5. Force close the Wyze app, then re-open it and try the update again.
  6. Power cycle Wyze Scale BodyScan.
    1. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.
  7. Factory reset Wyze Scale BodyScan.
    1. On the back of the scale in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button.
    2. Press and hold it for 5 seconds until the LED display shows "Clr".
    3. Set up the scale as new.
