Problem
Your Wyze Cam Floodlight is not turning off during the night.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
- Ensure that both your Wyze Cam v3 and Wyze Cam Floodlight’s firmware are up to date.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
- If there is an update available for the devices, please move forward with updating them.
- Check your Wyze Cam Floodlight’s settings to ensure they are accurate.
- In the Wyze app, navigate to your floodlight’s settings.
- Under Floodlight Control, select Auto.
- Under Turn on when dark, select Motion is detected by PIR sensor.
- Tap PIR sensor settings then adjust the detection distance to Near and change the sensitivity to Low.
- Adjust the floodlight’s timer.
- In the floodlight’s settings, tap Timer.
- Adjust the timer to the lowest option and tap Save.
- Note: The timer is set to 1 minute by default.
- Check to see if there are any Automations set that may be conflicting with the settings.

From the Home tab of the Wyze app, tap Automations.

Edit or delete any Automations that may be conflicting with the floodlight or its associated camera(s).

- Power cycle the floodlight and camera.
- Start by flipping the breaker to the off position.
- Wait 5-10 seconds, and then turn the breaker back to the on position.
- Delete your Wyze Cam Floodlight from the Wyze app.

From the Home tab of the Wyze app, tap Devices.

Tap on your device in the list.

Go to the floodlight's settings > Delete Device.

- Factory reset your Wyze Cam v3.
- Remove any microSD card inserted into the camera.
- With the camera plugged into power, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
- Once the status light starts flashing red, set up the camera and floodlight as new.
