My Wyze Cam v4 won't power on.

Problem

The status light does not light up or the device is not powering on.

Troubleshooting

  1. Ensure you are using the provided power cable and adapter that came with the camera.
    1. If you are using the provided power cable and adapter, try another power cable and adapter, if possible.
  2. Verify that you are connecting the power cable correctly to the camera.
    1. Wyze Cam v4’s microUSB slot is on the back of the camera.
    2. The male microUSB side should be inserted into the camera and the male full-size USB side should be inserted into the adapter.
  3. Plug the camera into a different power outlet.
  4. Press and hold the setup button to see if you hear “ready to connect”.
  5. Factory reset Wyze Cam v4 and then set it up as new.
    1. Remove any microSD card inserted in the camera.
    2. With the camera plugged into power, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
    3. Once the status light starts flashing red, set up the camera as new.
  6. If the camera still does not power on, try another power cable or adapter to see if the cable or adapter is defective.
