Wyze devices can be integrated with Amazon Alexa to help you control your devices. The Wyze skill is compatible with the Echo Show, Echo Spot, Fire TV, and more.
Using the Wyze Skill with Alexa
To set up your Alexa integration, you need to enable the Wyze Skill then link Alexa to your Wyze account. Once enabled and linked, you can use voice commands to control your Wyze devices.
👉 The Wyze skill is owned by Wyze, so all of your password and account information is never shared with Amazon and is only viewable through the secure Wyze app.

Editing Your Wyze device name in the Alexa app
The names of your Wyze devices may work perfectly in the Wyze app, but might be hard for Alexa to hear properly. You can edit your device's name in the Alexa app to make things easier.
To edit your Wyze device name in the Alexa app:
- In the Alexa app, tap Devices.
- Tap on the Wyze device you want to rename, then the Settings gear.
- Tap the title / Edit Name, enter the new name.
Note: This will only update your device's name in the Alexa app, and will not change the Wyze app. This comes in handy if you have your devices organized specifically in the Wyze app, but want to call them something else during voice commands.
To edit your Wyze device name in the Wyze app:
- In the Wyze app, tap on your device from the Home tab.
- Tap the Settings gear > Name.
- Enter a new name, then Save.
Note: This will only update your device's name in the Wyze app until you have Alexa rediscover your devices. You can leave it as-is, or go to the Alexa app > Devices tab. Alexa will rediscover your devices automatically, and change the name to match the Wyze app.
Additional Notes
- Visit the Amazon Alexa support page for more info.
- The Wyze skill works with all devices that are compatible with Alexa and connected to your Wyze account, including devices shared by other Wyze users.
- If your device is turned off or does not have power (like a light switch turned off), Alexa voice commands will not work on that device. Restore power and the connection, and try again.
