Wyze Lock isn't responding

If you aren't able to lock/unlock your Wyze Lock through the app, or the settings aren't updating when you make changes, give the troubleshooting on this page a try.

Test a different network

If your phone automatically connects to your WiFi when you get near your home, it's possible the connection is weak when trying to unlock/lock through the app. Turn off your phone's WiFi, then try locking/unlocking the Lock again to see if that gets it to respond. This is also worth trying if you're having trouble getting the settings to update.

Cycle your phone/tablet's WiFi and Bluetooth

Before trying anything else, turn off your phone or tablet's WiFi and Bluetooth, then turn them back on. This should help make sure it's communicating properly.

If using a Motorola device, ensure that you have GPS enabled as some Motorola devices require GPS be enabled for Bluetooth to function.

Power-cycle your phone or tablet

Similar to toggling the WiFi and Bluetooth, turning your phone off/on can help make sure it's communicating properly with both the Gateway and the network.

Make sure the Lock is Online

While unlikely, it's possible that the status of the Lock is failing to show as Offline if its connection is unsteady. We recommend going through the Wyze Lock connection troubleshooting article to make sure the Lock is Online and responding over the network.
