My Wyze Lock is not calibrating correctly.

Problem

Calibration fails for your Wyze Lock during initial setup or during recalibration.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm your Wyze app is up to date.

    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.

    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.

    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.

    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.

  2. Check that your Wyze Lock’s firmware is up to date.

    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.

    2. If there is an update available for the lock, please move forward with updating it.

  3. Ensure that battery optimization is disabled for the Wyze app.

  4. If you just replaced the batteries, please wait for 15 minutes before attempting calibration again.

  5. Walk through the calibration process like new.

  6. Ensure the door and Wyze Lock are both in the requested position for each calibration step and that there is enough of a difference from their previous position to register as different.

    • For example: If you only open the door by a couple of inches during Step 8 (manually unlock the lock and open the door), it may struggle to properly register the “Ajar” position in Step 9.

  7. If you keep your door propped open for longer than 30 minutes at a time, disable Auto Lock and Door Position.

    • You will want to use Automations to create a schedule to lock/unlock Wyze Lock at specific times instead.
