Problem
Calibration fails for your Wyze Lock during initial setup or during recalibration.
Troubleshooting
-
Confirm your Wyze app is up to date.
-
In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
-
Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
-
Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
-
If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
-
-
Check that your Wyze Lock’s firmware is up to date.
-
You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
-
If there is an update available for the lock, please move forward with updating it.
-
-
Ensure that battery optimization is disabled for the Wyze app.
-
If you just replaced the batteries, please wait for 15 minutes before attempting calibration again.
-
Walk through the calibration process like new.
-
Ensure the door and Wyze Lock are both in the requested position for each calibration step and that there is enough of a difference from their previous position to register as different.
-
For example: If you only open the door by a couple of inches during Step 8 (manually unlock the lock and open the door), it may struggle to properly register the “Ajar” position in Step 9.
-
-
If you keep your door propped open for longer than 30 minutes at a time, disable Auto Lock and Door Position.
- You will want to use Automations to create a schedule to lock/unlock Wyze Lock at specific times instead.
