Wyze Floor Lamp Connectivity Troubleshooting

Problem

Your Wyze Floor Lamp shows offline in the Wyze app, has trouble connecting, or disconnects frequently.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.

    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.

    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.

    3. Compare your app version to the latest version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.

    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.

  2. Check the Bluetooth® connection.

    1. In the phone’s settings, toggle Bluetooth® off and then back on.

    2. Ensure the remote and lamp are within Bluetooth® range of each other.

      • The remote can be used up to 50 feet away from the lamp.

    3. If there are other devices connected to the phone via Bluetooth® or other apps currently using Bluetooth® that may be causing interference, unpair the devices or close the apps.

  3. Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.

    1. Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.

    2. For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.

  4. If possible, check that your Wyze Floor Lamp's firmware is up to date.

    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.

    2. If there is an update available for the lamp, please move forward with updating it.

  5. Make sure the lamp is plugged securely into the wall socket.

  6. Make sure the bulb is seated securely in the lamp socket.

  7. Power cycle your Wyze Floor Lamp.

    1. Unplug the lamp from its power source.

    2. Unscrew the bulb from the lamp for about 30 seconds, and then screw it back in.

    3. Plug the lamp back into the power source.

  8. Force close the Wyze app.

  9. Restart your phone.

  10. Factory reset Wyze Floor Lamp and the remote.

    1. To factory reset Wyze Floor Lamp:

      1. Toggle the power switch on the cord 5 times.

      2. Once the light starts pulsing, set it up like new.

    2. To factory reset the Bluetooth® remote:

      1. On the back of the remote, open the battery cover.

      2. With the battery still installed, press and hold the reset button for at least 3 seconds.

      3. The status LED will flash, then become solid when it has been successfully reset.
