My Wyze Scale S measurements are wrong.

Problem:

Your Wyze Scale S measurements are incorrect; your weight measurement is not as expected.

Troubleshooting:

Incorrect Weight:

  1. Ensure Wyze Scale S is placed on a hard, flat surface.
  2. Step on the scale to activate it then step off to calibrate.
    • Let the scale return to 0.0lb.
  3. Check if you're using Athlete Mode.
    • Athlete Mode should only be enabled for users with 3-5% body fat.
    • In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Scale S > Settings > Users > your Nickname. Turn Athlete Mode off, if needed.
  4. Replace the batteries.
    • Make sure you're using alkaline batteries in the scale as lithium-ion and rechargeable batteries can skew the scale's functionality.
  5. Clean the scale's surface.
    • Wipe off the scale’s surface with a damp cloth, then try again.
  6. Make sure to stand on the scale with bare feet without your knees touching.

Incorrect Body Composition Measurements:

  1. Make sure to stand on the scale with bare feet without your knees touching.
  2. Clean the scale's surface.
    • Wipe off the scale’s surface with a damp cloth, then try again.
  3. Check if the correct profile is selected in the Wyze app while measuring.
    • In the Wyze app, tap on Wyze Scale S > Settings > Users.
  4. Check if all the personal information (i.e. body type, year of birth, etc.) is correct in the Wyze app.
    • In the Wyze app, tap on Wyze Scale S > SettingsUsers > Nickname.

Notes:

  • Body composition metrics (body fat %, water %, etc.) are only available for people between the ages of 10-100 years old. Children under 10 and seniors over 100 will not be able to access the body composition features. For users between ages 10-17, the body composition metrics are only for reference.
  • There is a range of acceptable measurement differences. The tolerance of Wyze Scale S is:
    • 11-132lb: ± 0.66lb
    • 132-265lb: ±0.88lb
    • 265-400lb: ±1.1lb
