Problem:
Your Wyze Scale S measurements are incorrect; your weight measurement is not as expected.
Troubleshooting:
Incorrect Weight:
- Ensure Wyze Scale S is placed on a hard, flat surface.
- Step on the scale to activate it then step off to calibrate.
- Let the scale return to 0.0lb.
- Check if you're using Athlete Mode.
- Athlete Mode should only be enabled for users with 3-5% body fat.
- In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Scale S > Settings > Users > your Nickname. Turn Athlete Mode off, if needed.
- Replace the batteries.
- Make sure you're using alkaline batteries in the scale as lithium-ion and rechargeable batteries can skew the scale's functionality.
- Clean the scale's surface.
- Wipe off the scale’s surface with a damp cloth, then try again.
- Make sure to stand on the scale with bare feet without your knees touching.
Incorrect Body Composition Measurements:

- Check if the correct profile is selected in the Wyze app while measuring.
- In the Wyze app, tap on Wyze Scale S > Settings > Users.
- Check if all the personal information (i.e. body type, year of birth, etc.) is correct in the Wyze app.
- In the Wyze app, tap on Wyze Scale S > Settings > Users > Nickname.
Notes:
- Body composition metrics (body fat %, water %, etc.) are only available for people between the ages of 10-100 years old. Children under 10 and seniors over 100 will not be able to access the body composition features. For users between ages 10-17, the body composition metrics are only for reference.
- There is a range of acceptable measurement differences. The tolerance of Wyze Scale S is:
- 11-132lb: ± 0.66lb
- 132-265lb: ±0.88lb
- 265-400lb: ±1.1lb
